Take your time. Do it right.

Two months ago, a veteran producer gave me sage advice. He said, “You've got a good script. Now, don't rush it. I've seen too many films ruined by directors who just wanted to get their films finished. Take your time. Do it right. The results will be worth it.”

After three years of writing my script, I was actually able to take his words to heart. After all, I was already in this for the long term, so I slowed down. More importantly, I devised a long-term plan to both finish the film and include the performance automotive aftermarket in its journey, and hopefully, in its success. Since then, we have taken several important steps to introduce Cruise Night to the industry.

Here's the story: after an exhaustive search, we finally found a reproduction method that truly captures the quality Dave “Big” Deal's amazing Cruise Night Camaro ’toon and “Star Wars” version of the Cruise Night logo on a T-Shirt.

I was doubtful that even 8 or 10-color screens would truly reproduce “Big” Deal's Cruise Night Camaro and the killer black to purple fade of the Cruise Night “Star Wars” logo. I was stuck until we tested some high-quality modern iron ons. We found that they not only looked great initially, but held up well under many washes in a commercial clothes washer. In fact, the artwork actually gets softer with each washing. Stoked!

The combination of the high-quality iron ons and ultra high-quality 100% cotton shirts (light years in quality from the crappy $2.00 jobs you receive so often these days) will allow us to sell T-Shirts that should actually last a few seasons. Yay!

Cruise Night Products were well received at this year's SEMA Show. We got positive feedback from several big warehouses and great input from many manufacturers.

"Cruise Night" to Attend 2008 SEMA Show

Phiip and Tim Gavern will attend the the 2008 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center from Tuesday, November 4, 2008 until Thursday, November 6, 2008 to introduce the feature film, Cruise Night, and the Cruise Night Products line to the automotive aftermarket.
